AFC Bournemouth have re-signed left-back Rhoys Wiggins from Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday.
The Welshman has put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half-year deal that will see him remain on the south coast until 2018, according to fourfourtwo.com.
Wiggins returns to the club after previously spending two loans spells with before joining permanently in 2010, and now joins the Cherries for the fourth time in his career.
It is believed that the 28-year-old has been drafted in to act as cover for Charlie Daniels.
He has struggled to break into the first-team at Hillsborough, and many have questioned the move, but Wiggins believes he can prove the doubters wrong.
“Looking at it, people will be surprised by the move, but hopefully I can do the business on the pitch and answer some of those questions,” the former Charlton man told BBC Radio Solent.
He added: “I was surprised by the interest, but Eddie Howe’s a good manager and he knows what I’m capable of and how he sees me fitting into the style.”
