Cherries linked with £5m Ipswich youngster Dozzell
AFC Bournemouth are one of three Premier League clubs to have been linked with a move for young Ipswich Town midfielder Andre Dozzell.
The Ipswich Star cite the Daily Mirror in reporting that Brighton and Hove Albion and Crystal Palace are also tracking Dozzell’s progress.
The 19-year old is a creative central midfield player known for his passing and playmaking abilities and has made 11 appearances for the Tractorboys this term.
Dozzell missed the entirety of last season after damaging his cruciate knee ligament on the opening day of the campaign against Birmingham City and has therefore been slowly eased back into the first-team setup.
The midfielder is a product of the Ipswich Town Academy and scored on his senior debut against Sheffield Wednesday at just 16 years old.
Since then he has continued to be linked with a number of top-flight clubs, with Tottenham Hotspur routinely mentioned in that irk.
Dozzell has represented England up to U20 level and was part of the 2017 U19 European Championship winning squad.
The Cherries would reportedly have to part with £5m to take the player, who is contracted to Portman Road until 2020 with the option of a further year, to the South Coast.
