AFC Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has quashed rumours linking his players with moves away, saying the Cherries have not received a single bid this month.
Skysports report that there has been particular interest in striker Callum Wilson, with Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United all keen.
Wilson has been the club’s standout performer this season, scoring nine Premier League goals so far, the best top-flight tally of his career.
His form was recognised by England boss Gareth Southgate, and the ex-Coventry City man scored on his Three Lions debut in a 3-0 friendly victory over the USA.
Reports have put a £75m price tag on his head, but Howe was keen to stress his desire to strengthen his squad rather than lose players.
We’ve had no interest in any of our players. Everything has just been speculation, which you understand as this is the month for it. From my perspective and the team we have above me, we are always working together to try and find solutions to make the squad stronger and continue to move the team forward. They’re the main things. We’ll do that again, as we have done through the process that we’ve been together, for the benefit of Bournemouth. No interest or no actual enquiries? No, nothing.
Bournemouth host 9th placed West Ham tomorrow, knowing they could move to within a point of the Hammers should they come out victorious.
