Wilson back in training ahead of Manchester City clash
AFC Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson could be included in tomorrow’s matchday squad after returning to training this week.
The Daily Mail report that Wilson was pictured working with the club’s fitness staff with and without the ball ahead of Manchester City’s visit to the Vitality Stadium.
The 27-year-old has been out of action since the end of January after injuring his knee in a 2-0 victory over West Ham United.
Before that setback, the frontman had struck 10 goals in 21 Premier League appearances this season, and made his international debut for Gareth Southgate’s England.
His form saw him linked with a big money January move to Chelsea, and there is likely to be further interest in his services this summer should he get back on the goal trail.
In his absence, Dominic Solanke and Lys Mousset have both partnered Josh King up front for the Cherries, with the latter scoring their consolation goal in Wednesday night’s 5-1 defeat to Arsenal.
Manager Eddie Howe said he would make a ‘late call’ on Wilson’s inclusion for tomorrow’s match.
