Butland reportedly keen on Bournemouth switch
Soke City goalkeeper Jack Butland has suggested he would be open to moving to AFC Bournemouth in the summer.
That’s according to Football Insider, who report that Butland is desperate to make the step back up to the Premier League for next season.
The 26-year-old has missed just one Championship match for the Potters this campaign, and that was so he could be present for the birth of his child.
He has substantial experience in the top flight and has still been picked in Gareth Southgate’s England squad this season, despite playing at a lower level.
The ex-Birmingham City man has a total of nine international caps to his name and Cherries boss Eddie Howe has been keeping tabs on his performances given the goalkeeping situation at Vitality Stadium.
39-year-old Artur Boruc is out of contract this summer, whilst Bosnian international Asmir Begovic has been less than consistent between the sticks this term.
Stoke are reported to want in the region of £15m to let Butland leave, and it remains to be seen whether the Cherries would be willing to part with such a fee.
